Learners use Italian with each other and the teacher for a range of purposes: exchanging information, expressing ideas and feelings, performing and responding to Italian texts. Students use ICTs to interact with each other to increase their range of Italian language vocabulary, grammatical knowledge and textual knowledge.
As a class we will be reading the book Davanti alla mia casa c’è…by Marianna Dubuc. Students will then move onto creating their own page to add to our class version. We will them move onto creating our own home floor plan where students will need to label rooms in their house and then pretend that they are a real estate agent and write a descriptive passage for their house to encourage people to buy it.
We will be revising how to talk about members of our family, school, hobbies, likes, dislikes and how to talk about ourselves. Along with this we will be creating personal profile cards to use in our class for the “Chi sono?” game.
